We’ve already seen some incredible advancements in kitchen hardware over the last ten years, but what does 2021 have in store? That’s right – your future kitchen is about to enter an exciting age of new features that are sure to make cook times fun again! Some of these advances are here now, but others are still on their way. Let’s take a closer look at what this next year could hold for you:

Trends for Kitchen Sinks

Kitchen Sink Trends: Handy New Features

We’ve seen it before, and we’re sure to see it again – kitchen sink trends come and go as often as the weather changes. When you think about it, though, what’s not to love about a list of kitchen hardware advances? Let’s take a closer look at what your new sink could provide for you in 2021:

– Kitchen sinks with accessible cleaning features – who wouldn’t want a sink that can make itself spotless? No more scrubbing or scraping after a huge dinner party!

– Kitchen faucet attachments from top brands – from organic soap dispensers to hands-free foot pedals, your kitchen hardware will be the talk of the town.

There has been a resurgence in copper sinks, which are often paired with stainless steel faucets.

Trends for Kitchen Cabinets

Kitchen Cabinet Trends: New Hardware Designs

What’s not to love about kitchen hardware? It is literally the foundation of our kitchens, and what could be more important than that? These new kitchen cabinet trends are all about opening up your cooking space, making it easier to prepare food with style.

  – Open shelving – long gone are the days of clunky closed cabinets! Now you can display your favorite dishes or glassware on exposed open shelves that embrace a more modern look.

  – Shaker-style doors – these drawers combine old-fashioned charm with sleek lines for a classic vintage look that will never go out of style.

Granite has also become a recent popular trend for kitchen sinks.

It is no secret that granite is an exquisite, durable, and timeless material in architecture and design. The use of this natural stone for kitchen sinks has been increasing steadily in recent years due to their significant quality and beauty.

Granite countertops add visual appeal and value to any kitchen, but when it’s used for your sink, you’ll get to enjoy the beauty firsthand every day when you’re washing up. Granite helps to resist stains and scratches, too – it’s true! Granite kitchen sinks will create a beautiful focal point in any modern or traditional kitchen.

Trends for Kitchen Lighting

Kitchen lighting trends: New way to brighten your life

Lighting is one of the most essential elements of any room, and that includes your kitchen. After all, this is where you prepare food and snacks daily – who wouldn’t want their kitchen lighting to be functional and aesthetically pleasing too? These new kitchen hardware advances will make sure you can see everything you need to to create a delicious meal:

– LED lights: there is no question about it – LED light bulbs are becoming more and more common in kitchens worldwide. Not only do they last longer than traditional filament bulbs, but they also use less electricity! Wouldn’t any cooking enthusiast love that?

And then there are the unexpected trends that you might not expect.

One such trend involves using glowing LED lights under your cabinets! Yes, this does require a bit more work since you have to install these yourself, but they offer a unique look for those who want something special in their cooking space.

Lacking counter space? Maybe workstation sinks can solve the problem!

One of the top kitchen trends of 2020 is that of workstation sinks. It’s important to understand that these sinks are different than traditional ones because they are positioned over a watertight countertop surface. This means you don’t need to worry about encroaching on your kitchen space if you want to install one for yourself. Workstation sinks come equipped with plenty of storage, generous storage space, and they can even be wall-mounted or recessed into the wall for an elegant look that provides more floor space where it’s needed most.

What would you guess is the most popular faucet? If you thought “single-handle,” you would be spot-on!

I could give you a bunch of specific brands and models to consider, but the most dominant kitchen sink faucet remains to be the single-handle variety. There are a lot of pros for this type of design because it offers a quick and easy way to control water pressure. Plus, it is easier to clean since there is only one handle that needs wiping from time to time.

I would note that if you have small children in your house, you might find that this design isn’t the best choice since they can turn off the faucet at any given moment.

Now we move on to top finishes for faucets. You may be surprised by this – BLACK is making an appearance as a kitchen sink faucet color of choice.

Sometimes we get so caught up in the traditional choices – like chrome or brushed nickel – that we miss out on some truly excellent contemporary alternatives. That’s why I wanted to include black as a top finish for kitchen sinks and faucets. Not only is it sleek and stylish, but it also works well with just about any type of kitchen decor you can think of.
